Welcome to the web site of the Sovereign Harbour Eastbourne Carnival Action Team (SHECAT). ● SHECAT is a collective of harbour residents and organisations formed to deliver Sovereign Harbour’s entry for the Eastbourne Sunshine Carnival 2012. Press Notice. See “Our Plans” page for more details... ● We have raised funds and a team of 30 enthusiastic volunteers have  designed and constructed our float and costumes. We  still need more people to help. Please contact us to join this fun community project, and meet some new harbour acquaintances. Happy Dragon Event Photos. Our recent fund raising dinner at the ‘Happy Dragon’ in Pevensey was great fun and raised nearly £400. Our recent Quiz Night at the Yacht Club attracted over 70 people and raised over £230. We are now preparing for the carnival itself. New volunteers and participants are still welcome to take part and accompany our float as walkers or stewards! We have now entered the construction stage. We are working on building the float and preparing items and costumes for participants. We need all the help we can get, so please get in touch if you’d like to lend a hand - it is not too late to get involved!  On carnival day we need more people to march with the Sovereign Harbour float and more people to accompany the float as stewards.
